WASHINGTON, January 6, 2026/ BPALiveWire - The National Black Pro-Life Union will host a private screening of the powerful biographical drama Pardon Me: The Bevelyn B. Williams Story, highlighting the inspiring journey of pro-life activist Bevelyn Beatty Williams.

The film chronicles Williams' transformation into a bold advocate for the unborn, her peaceful protests outside abortion clinics, her federal prosecution under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, her imprisonment, and her eventual presidential pardon by President Donald Trump in January 2025. Directed by Josh Webber and starring Angela White (formerly known as Blac Chyna), Columbus Short, and Jason Mitchell, the movie has been praised for its raw portrayal of faith, conviction, and resilience in the face of adversity.

The event will include a screening of the full film followed by an in-depth question-and-answer session with Williams herself, offering attendees a unique opportunity to hear directly from the woman whose story has inspired millions.

"This screening is an important moment to celebrate Bevelyn's courage and to shine a light on the ongoing fight to protect the most vulnerable among us," said Day Gardner, president of the National Black Pro-Life Union. "Her story reminds us that standing for life, especially in the Black community where abortion takes a disproportionate toll, requires unwavering faith and sacrifice. We are honored to bring this film to Washington and host Bevelyn for this special discussion."

Bevelyn Beatty Williams added, "To be pardoned by the President of the United States is something that I'm still trying to register. This film shares my journey of standing firm for the unborn, even when it cost me my freedom. I hope it encourages others to speak truth with boldness and trust in God's plan."

The private event underscores the National Black Pro-Life Union's commitment to advocating for the rights of the unborn, particularly within African American communities, and to supporting activists who face challenges for their beliefs.

In addition to the National Black Pro-Life Union, the screening is sponsored by Alveda King Ministries, Faith & Liberty and Bass Public Affairs.
