President Trump’s bold and decisive decision to release 23 pro-life activists is a victory not only for them but for the unborn and the principles of justice and freedom. It is a reminder that speaking out for life is not in vain and that we must continue to protect the most vulnerable among us. Life is sacred, and we cannot allow a system of injustice to silence the voices of those who stand for the unborn.

As a father and husband, I cannot imagine the heartache and frustration that Bevelyn Beatty Williams’ husband must have endured, watching his wife face an unjust system seemingly stacked against her. There must have been moments when he felt powerless, but today, we are reminded that God’s truth is never powerless. His truth is mighty, and it is this truth that has carried us to this day of celebration.

To every family who has endured this struggle, your strength and faith are a testament to the power of love and perseverance. And to all who fight for life, let this be a renewed call to stand boldly, knowing that God’s truth and justice will prevail.

One of the key tenets of The Frederick Douglass Freedom Alliance is to speak truth, defend life, and honor the legacy of freedom and justice that Frederick Douglass himself stood for.  Visit FDFAlliance.org to join us in the work ahead.
