It was a lovely day at the Top of the Hay in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday. Kathy Roth-Douquet, CEO and founder of Blue Star Families and Tammy Haddad hosted a reception to celebrate military families. The event also served as a birthday celebration for Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist. Newmark has long been a faithful supporter of Blue Star Families. Blue Star Families, founded in 2009, supports over 1.5 million global military family members. The organization addresses the unique challenges that military families face and provide real solutions through innovative programs.
Also spotted were veteran D.C. communicator Kevin Cirilli, Blue Star Families' Holly Page and Brian Whiting; Tech Net's Patrick Flemming; LinkedIn's Christina Marrone; newly minted President of the National Press Club, CNBC Washington Correspondent Emily Wilkins and Sheila Katz of the National Council of Jewish Women.
